I'm mad Capcom has forgotten all about these characters. BoF2 was simply one of the greatest RPGs ever made. Not even an appearance in any of the Versus games? Absolute heresy.

Actually i think i just asnwered my own question on why they didn;t add a BoF char...having two chars named RYU would be too CONFUSING for our tiny brains?

and Pheonix's name in the japanese ver is Ryuichi XP

I think "Ryu" is just a common name in Japan, i think it means "Dragon" so that make sense for "Breath of Fire", theres also a visual joke in i think Phoenix Wright 3, theres a guy that looks like a buff Nick with a spray on tan, and his shirt is a tiger biteing a dragon. it had to do with the fact that one is named Dragon and the bad guy is named Tiger in Japanese. ok enough rambling from me

Actually Ryu in Street Fighter and Ryuu in BoF are two different name entirely. Ryuu is the kanji for dragon so it fits the role of the blue-haired kid of every game. Ryu (no extra u) for SF is actually a typical guy's name and not implying dragon (despite the whole Shoryuken thing).
