Thea finds herself lost deep in the Everfree forest, in a deep pit of her own depression. Trapped by constant thoughts of her failures, real or perceived, she can't find it in herself anymore to try and fight against it. Betrayed by her own mind, she's tired and alone, when she encounters the most unlikely of ponies
Author's Note:
I wrote this a couple years ago, when I was working through a lot of things (I'm still working through them, but it's getting easier). I would say that this story is about 80% autobiographical to what happened to me about six years ago, before I finally did get the help I needed. I still have doubts about posting this here as it's still fairly raw, but as someone once said: "Shared pain is lessened; shared joy, increased—thus do we refute entropy."
I would be remiss if I didn't provide some resources for those who find themselves in the same situation. There is no shame in needing help.
