Promised I'd post some pix from 
Furio's and my recent trip to London and Paris (with sidetrips to Bath and Oxford in England - best vacation ever! )
Furio, myself and 
Charleston Rat (who took a four-hour bus ride from Wales to hang with us for a couple of days) took a ride on the big-ass "London Eye" (cost a big-ass pile of money too, but it was worth it) where we noticed Big Ben was completely scaffolded over!
They said it was for repairs but I suspect it's secretly being disassembled and stolen piece by piece from inside the scaffolding; the clock face is a phony to make us think it's still there, but I know what's really going on. The only question is who's behind it all: my guess it's either Blofeld...or Rattigan.
(PS: "Big Ben" is the name of the bell in the tower, not the tower itself or the clock.)
