Mhmf, I love tight preds like this ♥ Drawing only with black/white makes it rather easy to achieve something presentable quickly. Maybe I will do this a more regular thing. Still I would love to figure out how to properly go from greyscale to color, arf. That would be a nice skill to combine.

I think you could achieve that by being more "brave" with the contrasts. The reason why your internals often look matte is because they are similarly shaded like your bodies. But shiny surfaces reflect sooo much light that it either travels away from the viewer, thus appearing being really dark, or towards him, thus appearing really light. Highlights are almost as bright as the light source. I'd recommend reading on specular and diffuse reflections for that matter~
