Beyxer was brought to Holdout at a very young age by his birth-mother.
This meant that whilst his mother would eventually have to go through 6 years of active service to obtain her “resident rights”, due to her age and being an outsider.
He would only have to do the usual 4 years when he came of age.
His 4 years of active service was fairly uneventful but it was during his service where Beyxer’s passion for technology really began, more specifically his passion for synthetics.
As when he was patrolling with his assigned unit, they would occasionally come across various synthetics wandering about in differing states of repair.
Some were friendly, even forming small groups of their own, just trying to continue functioning post-BI.
Others were not so friendly, their AI and mechanical bodies failing due to the harsh conditions they’ve endured.
It was these small encounters that would peak his interest in synthetics, in his spare time he would shift through technical documents to learn as much as he could.
After his service was complete he would continue to expand his knowledge, not only on synthetics but all manner of different technologies that BI had to offer.
In his pursuit to understand the technology around him, he would encounter Aveta looking for a technical specialist for her scavenger team.
Not wanting pass up on the opportunity to rediscover lost technology, he happily enrolled.
