Yeah, sort of. It's more in terms of she's a monster that likes to dance. She knows what she is and she's quite ok with it. No one forces her to dance, it's just what she does. She is contained in some way to keep others safe, because left to her own devices, she will happily kill things. She's not really sad or miserable, just something evil that likes to dance to bring people in so she can devour them later....
However, now that I'm considering your comment's view, it makes me feel like this would make a bit more sense if she was locked up all the time. Perhaps a dancer within a glass container of some sort?? Something that looks beautiful to viewers, but if broken out, she will show her true form and go ballistic.... Still not sure who would've been the one to have contained her in the first place, but perhaps that will come later.
