December 16 is the start of the Christmas Season in the Philippines when they start the Misa De Gallo, a series of evening or early morning masses ending on a day before Christmas Day. Notably Our Christmas season also ends a bit longer at the first Sunday of the new Year during the Feast of the Three Kings.

Anyway the story is that if you complete all nine masses your wish will be granted. I have yet to complete a series in all my life. A lot of people usually go during the first mass but the numbers dwindle as the days go on, in the end only the hardy or the devout can claim they have finished this Christmas Tradition.
