[Sort of a pseudo-update post incoming. Please read the tl;dr if you want the bare essentials. ^^]
Honesty is the best policy.
tl;dr:
- Stephanie is now named Lily, Lily is confirmed gay. She wears less-revealing clothes than the normal gown.
- This character is my favorite because it was a way to express myself about six years ago.
- Like this piece, future art will have more effort put into them to make them more unique, but animation and post-processing takes a lot more effort and time, so requests are now closed and commissions are up. Still working on the pricing.
--- --- ---
So, I have to admit something to you all. Coming here and doing what I could to make other people happy was simply because there weren't that many pictures or art of Pokemon I liked in situations I liked. And it became a sort of tradition that I would try many different things and use characters I never could, which eventually turned into something I feel is like my own little community. So let's be honest about something real quick.
Stephanie was a secret identity for a character I kept to myself mostly. Stephanie was a recreation of a character from a very long-term RP I had with my ex. Her name was Lily. I tried to avoid relating to it this whole time, but eventually the opportunity came where I could finally ask the person who basically had a hand in making her if I could have some of the characters without it seeming weird, and they said yes. So let's begin.
--- --- ---
** Lily is a little different from Stephanie. For one, Lily (or as her friends would call her, "Lilith") is gay. She wears elegant gowns, and on occasion a maid gown. Her normal gown has these long, loose sleeves and a turtleneck-type collar. She also has this vibrant purple-blue hair that goes down to her shoulders, and these deep blue eyes.
Why am I telling you this? Well, for one: Second Life makes it very difficult to make proper stuff. I'd have to pay money to make a more accurate prim, and pay to upload textures. Overall fairly cheap, but it adds up over time. What you're seeing is editing done in post after the screengrabs are done in Second Life.
I fully intend to do color edits and animation wherever I can in future art, but it will make art more difficult to make, hence why I've closed Requests and have opened Commissions. I don't expect to be paid, but I want to give viewers a chance to make certain aspects of the new editing process easier, by funding models and attire, there can be more done to make future art better.
