Painted in 2000 in my first Maya obsession while reading Blood of Kings and A Forest of Kings. You'd think it was way self-centered, but in mythology, the center of the universe, or the great Ceiba tree, is within each of us. I think I was too messed up at the time to spell right in Mayan, so sorry about suggesting that anybody's parents mates with tapirs.
