It is! Although if I could describe what this ritual was about we'd be able to determine how tight it is.
It mostly looks like a burial ritual by the looks of it but I wanted it to be more of a... spiritual connection?
Either way, I don't mean a bad end of anything like that. Something positive... And tight.

Blending different cultures together, you could say it's a form of exorcising ritual where the bandages are meant to keep the good in and let anything bad seep out, thus purifying the encased one. He is bound tightly but the bandages are poreous so he can breath and the "evil" has a way to escape.
