Sometimes, the biggest hurdles are the questions we ask ourselves.

-Through some strange mutation, or perhaps some slight tweaking gone wrong, Val was hatched as a fertile pink, and for a moment, it seemed like she was Voe's key to complete self sufficiency. Unfortunately, it seemed as if the body had other plans.

-Val was named as such when Voe found out that her sexual organs were working properly, being the first drone that he named proper, as celebration of his first self-made queen.

-A sharp blow to the head as a result of a fall, resulted in the drone being broken away from the hivemind. During her comatose time, a consciousness developed eventually resulting in the awakening of the one known as "Val"

-Val was quickly imprisoned, and put under heavy hypnosis and brainwashing in order to try and realign her with the rest of the pinks, and eventually reconnect her to the hivemind. This only seemed to strengthen her resolve, and through countless attempts, eventually escaped.

-Voe has a hard time seeing Val as anything but part of him, and is constantly gunning to get his fertile drone back. Vale, upon hearing of Val's existence, also seeks her out for the same reasons as Voe. Val knows that she's finished if she gets in the grasps of either.

-Val is a remarkably capable and intelligent kobold, taking after her kin. She's strong for her size, skilled with the whip and great at strategizing. She has yet to apply herself to a cause, other than keeping herself away from her former and potential captors.

-Val's brainwashing trauma has given her PTSD when it comes to hypnosis, green eyes, or kobolds in general. She has been left susceptible to hypnosis and can be put in a trance relatively easily.

-Val's old programming tends to manifest in strange ways. Sometimes she'll become sultry, provocative, and a bit self-destructive. Sometimes this will come as a result of her being in a trance, or sometimes she'll slip in and out of this state during conversation, especially if she's horny.

-Val's broken out of her manacles before, but keeps her broken set on as a reminder of what awaits her if she gets careless. She claims she'll only take them off once she's truly free of the Voe.

-Val values freedom over all else, and emphasizes this with anyone in chains, physical or metaphorical. She is quite a skilled escape artist and uses this talent for both herself and her friends.

-Val, through a lack of restraint caused by her genes or simply unable to grasp the concept of a portion size, tends to be a rather hoggish eater. She's heavier than most other drones as a result.

-Val has a very gentle latent connection to the hivemind, which manifests as a 6th sense whenever they're close, but in addition, while dreaming, Voe can interact with her.

-Some odd behavior concerning her connection to her past life includes making sure to redo her markings when they eventually run and being unwilling to kill other pink Voe, incapacitate sure, but the thought of outright killing pink drones makes her uneasy.


Whew, this will be the last subspecies and spin off of "Voe" for a while, at least until Squiddy goes on another kobold kick.
