So I will be making a set of banners for the elements, to explain how each element type of dragon works in the stray stars world. Remember, this is how the dragons usually turn out and there are exceptions to every rule,many dragons even in older age can be confused for another element. It won't change what they have an affinity for. These are some eggs, one of which should look familiar.

The intensity of this element is rivaled by few, dragons gifted with this power understand what true heat is. Warm and passionate they are, and willing to defend with a heated rage. These dragons are very common and range in many sizes,shapes, and colors. There magic is their strength, and their best defense is a powerful offence


Appearance

Theses dragons tend to come mostly the colors of fires and light. red, yellow, and orange are the most common colors, while blue, white, and green are rarer shades to come across these dragons in. They also come in some shades of brown from time to time. These dragons tend of have sun resistant scales.These dragons tend to have a lot in common with desert creatures.

These dragons tend to put on weight fairly quickly so they tend to get pretty hefty if they do not work out all the stuff that they eat.

Diet preferences

The dragons have a preference to red meat, long burning vegetation, wood, and burnable ores like coal. The smoke from their flame often smells like what they have eaten recently.

Development

Fire dragons develop their flame sacs fairly quickly normally hitting the ability to breath fire by about mid childhood. Their bodies warming as the sac grows slowly stronger the more they eat, slowly allowing them to breath fire for longer and longer periods as they take in more burnable energy.

Due to the need to eat to power these flames, none active fire dragons tend to put on weight if they do not pace themselves. Or don’t work off the extra energy.

Magic

The natural fire magic that is produced through these dragon’s fire sacs is not to be joked at, many dragons being able to produce strong torrents of fire. However this can only be exhaled through the nose and mouth. Some of these sacs are powerful enough for their glow to be seen outside the dragon’s body.


When trained in advanced magic they can wield the flames like it is a solid. Some spells can disperse the flames further, increase the damage power or can be used for crafting purposes or light.
