Put this off for a while, but now Syn has his ref and he’s still an asshole

Syncos was once called a “genius” by his community, learning the ways of artisanal crafting faster than most students, to the point where he got bored of it. After an incident and his growing lethargy got to be too much for him, he took on a secondary education of the elementalist school to learn how to further control the elements he worked with.

Yet even then, he grew bored. There was no challenge, nothing unique or creative—just repetitive, droning instructions and time-honored styles to fall back on. Why, though? There were so many years ahead of them, why not expand a bit? Make something new?

Realizing his potential was being wasted, the genius crafter vanished without warning one day, taking what he learned in the safety of his schools and using it as a foundation for learning through experience.

No longer “genius crafter Syncos”, he’d become Captain Syn of “The Chariot”.

No longer praised for his skill, he was now feared for what he could do.

And it was too much fun to quit.
