This room was an interesting one. When I first played Celeste I beat each individual stage in one sitting. So 7A I did in one sitting, 7B I did in one sitting. But Chapter 9 was the first level to break this streak as I did use save and quit to exit the level, and this was the room to do it. It's not a long room, but my goodness is it demanding after the 2 hours of stage that had preceded it... So because of it's infamous nature to me I decided to make an image based off of it.

So fun fact, the panels in Celeste are 8x8 pixels, here all I made all panels 16x16. I also decided to use only the NES color palette as well as limit to 3 colors per sprites/panels. Some I did some trickery with, like the microscopic organism on the right, it uses 4 colors, BUT, if you divide it into panels each panel only used 3 colors max. =P

I also used a golden spiral I had made up to make the "black hole" background.

As for Madeline herself she uses 5 colors. On the NES Mega Man used 5 colors thanks to dual layered sprites, so I opted for 5 colors to make Madeline look a little better even with my mediocre sprite skills. =P

But yeah, this was a fun little project, I started this thing October 3rd and have been working on it ever since. =O
