"Enough was enough!"
There was a time to be a Defender of the Wild. To preserve the balance of nature and keep to the traditions of the Old Faith. But these affronts to the Material Plane have grown too numerous and their assaults far too frequent. It was time to push back the monstrosities and purge the aberrations that befouled the land once and for all.
WulfBane declared it was time to go on the offensive!
It was going to take everything the wolf had and then some. He had been training for this, preparing every fiber of his lupine body to be able to withstand the strain and harness the power. Calling on divine powers of nature and the Feywild, he absorbs the magical energies in the forest, the grasslands, all the surrounding areas as well as tapping into the life forces of the flora and fauna inhabitants that heeded WulfBane's call for aid.
It permeated his flesh, charging every bit of his being. Even with his broad frame and heavily defined physique, any onlookers would have began worrying that he was taking far more than his body could contain. But this was requiring an extraordinary level of effort so WulfBane was fully intending to push well beyond his limit. To keep drawing, absorbing, and compressing all that green mana until the right time.
The strain was great, but then the time had finally arrived. Grasping his Staff of the Woodlands tight, he was ready. With a snarl and a growl, he raised the staff far above his head. WulfBane planted his feet, taking a firm stance. All that gathered power was channeled through the staff as a focus, summoning forth the most powerful display of druidic spell casting even the ancients haven't seen before.
An amazing piece I commissioned from
Aokmaidu. I just love what he can do with strong expressive works and I'm beyond pleased that I was able to get this.
