Not sure which character is named what, but does the male character know that there is no such thing as a calico male cat?

Genetically speaking you have to have XX chromosomes in order to have that color. So I guess he's a XXY...

Course the female as an orange tabby is almost as unheard of, though there are orange tabby female cats, just rare. It's another genetic color combo. Most orange tabbies are male.

Darn that genetic class in college, makes me overanalyze! LOL!

You have a valid point there! LOL! Not weird so much as just not right. The other combo is more mythological, so they can get away with it, but when you use actual existing animals, well then weird colors throw me off. Mainly I just thought it was funny. Glad to see you also have a sense of humor. *grin*
