I have to say, to draw this piece, I did some reaserach on both lemurs, Madagascar and South Africa tribes, especially those near Madagascar to where ring-tailed lemurs are endemic. It was really fun to learn all those new things!
I confess though - my "Google-fu" skill did not allow me to find how exactly native Madagascar tribes dress, so this drawing bases the clothing on the Shona tribe (tribe living in the Southern Africa - Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Mozambique).
