So now here's a curious question to ask, what exactly makes a creature a taur?

I don't think it's a count of limbs necessarily but just additional number of them.

So a normal clam has one foot, would that mean a two footed clam is a taur?

Or, perhaps, a Fred Astaire?

I polled friends on another site as to how many legs a clamtaur should have. I thought two, but i was alone in that??

Strictly tho i think taur comes from tauros doesnt it? Like minotaur is minos' bull child. So even centaur already stretches what it means to be taur. I take it to mean an anthroish thing poised atop a not very anthroish body of its form if that makes sense
