You can very easily find something to call yours that you, in a way, form a bond with in such a way that it is a part of you just as much as it is its own object. This was the case with me. The first car I bought with my own money back in July 2016 was a turquoise 1996 Oldsmobile 88. It had only 54000 miles upon purchase, and was a true functional gem in every sense of the word. Powered through a couple different accidents as well as trips ranging from my move to Colorado, down to Oklahoma to see friends there for TTFC, and even to the shore of Lake Tahoe in Northern California. The Olds died on me right after DenFur back in August, with 99700 miles on the odometer. Engine was still in perfect condition, but the electrical systems and wiring had worn out too much, and I broke other parts trying to fix it. Three years with an increasingly unique car that I adored the heck out of ended abruptly, and I wish I could have sent it off in a better fashion than I was able to, but I suppose all good things must come to an end eventually.

I had this done by  sinister-jordex to capture the spirit of the car along with Mel for good measure. The building in the background is also strikingly similar to the office building I actually work in here in Denver. Couldn't have worked out better!
