Wind
Seemingly everywhere and yet too swift to be seen, these dragons are known for their mastery in the sky being especially hard to match. The gentle breezes they glide upon will turn to gale force or tornadoes within moments, causing catastrophic events if they feel the need to bring upon such damage. A grounded wind dragon who can not continue a life within the skies is considered a dead one; Wind dragons treat their wings especially well and while their breath is powerful, to not be able to master the skies would lead to death.
Appearance-
These dragons are thin, light creatures of the skies. Having the lightest bone density of dragon kind means that their bodies accompany this factor with other ways to improve upon speeds. Long, narrow and sleek frames are the telltale signs of a wind dragon, allowing them the maneuverability to be both aerodynamic and fast upon land and air. Often, they are seen with narrow snouts and even beaks! Coats can be any hue of colors seen in the skies, so think white and greys, blues and blacks are commonly seen with a subset of these creatures having patterns decorating their bodies like bird. It doesn't help their bird-like appearance that some are just as likely to be feathered as they are scaled, and get a higher resistance to the cold.
Diet preferences-
These dragons are phenomenal at aerial catch/combat and have a natural preference to flying or avian based meals. High growing fruits and seeds are another common source of food that these dragons have a taste for.
Often enough the color of the dragon will tell one of the most common times to find them hunting.
Development
Their wings develop faster the rest of their bodies, resulting in the young dragons looking out of place as the wings get heavy and need work break-in. They, however, learn to fly faster than most dragons as the wings become strong enough to actually achieve flight instead of short glides.
They also have a natural urge that drives them to climb, jump, and test their wings. They learn to land vertically pretty quickly. When unsupervised self-harm can be common due to these instincts. Their bodies do eventually catch up with the wing size and as a result, these dragons longer taller bodies.
Mating instincts
When these dragons locate a potential mate or loved one they tend to attempt to serenade and dance with them in the air. These dragons can sometimes have over the top performances however but are usually good at singing..
Magic-
Despite the destructive capabilities of wind dragons, they start out almost the weakest of all the dragon types. Magic is absorbed through their wings and an air sacs at small amounts as their body focuses on wing development. However, in adult age, a group of these dragons can move a storm of clouds and disperse smaller groups. Tornados take a little bit of effort to cause but I can often be done.
Their wings tend to be just as important as a tool when using magic often being able to move more wind and air than they can push with a breath.
If trained in advanced magic these dragons can learn incantations and spells that can adjust to the weather, create vortexes, and even create disasters with the proper conditions.
