"Are we there yet?" complained Nino for the x-th time, walking by Matt's side, each of them holding one string of the large wodden sled behind them with their tail.
"We won't get there earlier just because you keep asking, you know?" complained Matt about Nino's complaining.
"I knooooow. But we have been walking for ages and ages now..." whined the red dragon, his cheeks even redder than normal from the strain on walking through the cool winter-scenery with his friend, not used to the exhausting trip up the mountain.
"I know, man. But just up to more curces and we are up there. Remember, the longer we get up, the longer we can slide down the slopes."
The red dragon just grumled a bit more before stopping to complain, saving his breath as he kept on walking, pulling the sled up and up and up. Ignoring that by now he allready started to loose the sense of touch to his snout and even his feet where his scales were the thickest. He was not as used to the cold as his friend Matt was, but he really really wanted to do this now.
He had only once or so been able to use a sled before and that was just down a small hill, not a place like here, with mountains so high that some are nearly always covered in snow all year round.
Nino kept listening to their breath, icy cloud-fogs exhaled from their muzzles as they kept on walking, the cold snow crunching under their heavy feet and talons digging into the ground.
After maybe fifteen minutes or so, they reached their target. The tea-hutt was closed, it was stil not vacation season yet, but they didn't mind. They came here for a different reason.
"Wow. You can see so far and wide left and right that valley. It looks just so breath-taking, Matt." Nino said, fascinated and thrilled by the view. The entire valley up and down, left and right, all was covered in sparkling fresh snow, and in the vicinity the only sounds they heard were of each other.
Matt took the reins of the sled and offered them to his friend.
"You wanna take the lead, man? Just keep watching that you don't steer us into the bushes, or we will have snow in places we don't wanna have them."
Nino laughed shyly, unsure if he was up to the task, but he stil nodded eaglery finally, not wanting to miss such an opportunity.
As some final words to say here, you could hear their whoops and roars of joys all the way down the valley, making some people wonder what they just heard there.
Hmm, a bit early for such a picture? Well, maybe also a bit late, one could say. ^^' But finally got to upload this here as well.
