buyer asked me to put some extra chars on the piece and since their three chars are originally ponies, I threw in my own pony OCs as humans, but the one with orange shirt and blue eyes, who belongs to my spouse shiroganeRyo ! I really enjoy it when buyers let me put my own chars on bg haha this commission was very fun to work in overall~!

tbh I don't like my style to humans that much, but I drawin them once in a while is fun for a change. i'd like to eventually draw more human art as fanart of anime/mangas i like though, so this could be a good train ´ v `
as for your question, I usually draw the characters first, but I already have a draft of the bg during the sketch phase as well so I can better place light/shadows etc

I admit that since I’m not an artist, I might see things differently that you Tiaa. I might not be aware of certain delicate e details that for you might stick out like a sore thumb. But I must say that for someone like me. You drew humans very very well. :3
