Clickety-clack reviews: wooden railway gordon
I usually say something completely original here, but I have something to say. I'm worried that I'm running out of things to review. I can't buy something new to review every day, especially now that I'm in a financial crisis. So I thought I'd review something simple for this. Enough rambling, let's roll.
My history: Gordon always came off as a negative character to me as a child and still does today. Mostly because of how narcissistic he came off in some episodes. I'm not saying that Gordon is a sociopath, or my least favorite character, it's just that thinking your better than others smaller than you and that should only be suited for the important jobs isn't the best character trait to have. Thankfully though, he does have good traits like helping others in need, I just wish we saw that side of him more often. I got my first wooden Gordon around 2011-12. It was one of those models from the era of atrocious cgi faces and it was the only model I ever had of that sort. Then in 2017 I got the Gordon pictured above, and I've had it ever since.
Pros:
1: the face is a perfect representation of his cgi counterpart.
2: the details are crisp and clear and really good.
Cons:
1: his number is way too big, and it feels off when compared to the other engines who's numbers are better proportioned.
Final score: 9/10 practically perfect in every way!
