When Life Gets Me Down

When life gets me down
And the world around me seems cruel
When it feels like I might drown
In worry and in sorrow too

I've walked alone for years
Never been able to rest my mind
There have been sweat and there have been tears
Looking for someone loving and kind

Then I looked up and noticed a big smile
And all things bad got washed away
When I saw my wonderful sweetiepie
Comforting me in his own unique way

My tears stopped flowing and my heart started going
I knew it was love and I knew it was real
And for the first time, real love was showing
Helping me feel and making me squeel

When life gets me down
And the world around me seems cruel
Then only in love will I drown
Now that I've found you

Now, having someone loving and kind
My two feet planted firmly on this Earth
Finally been able to rest my mind
Thanks to my sweet and amazing Mirth <3
