Far from civilization, deep in a thick swamp, a modestly sized log cabin houses one of the most powerful magic users in all the land. Known only as Osyris, this female wolf is known for concocting powerful potions, from curing aches and pains to limited transformation and such. However, she is also very particular with who she gives her potions to, and rarely sells them to a soul with ill intent. And yes, this means she CAN see into your soul, to see if you are worthy. That said, she has used her potions in the past to teach young ones a lesson, usually giving them something temporary and not destructive,
That said, because of her illusive nature and scary looks, most adults from less advanced villages tend to avoid her, crafting stories that she is dangerous, scary, and even eats children, as a way to keep their kids in line. All rumors, of course, but still it forced her into posting danger signs near her swamp, to prevent the more aggressive and less intelligent folk from entering her lands.
They do have reason to fear her, however, as despite her more calm and collected nature, she does have one trait that sends many adults into a fit of terror: Her tail. Nicknamed Apep, her tail was accidentally splashed with reanimation potion when she was younger, causing it to have a mind of its own. Able to open up in the middle, her tail has a mind and voice of its own, as well as a mouth and nose, the latter of which is implied to be at the tip of her tail. Apep doesn't need to eat, and relies on Osyris to move or stay alert. Apep also has the unique ability of stretching a little further than her original tail, often acting as a third hand when working on potions or collecting ingredients and materials. Apep doesn't have a gender, and prefers to use Apep as Apep's pronouns.
