A character concept that came to mind while listening to a song my friend
SamtheAngelFox introduced me to. I decided on the name Roseline Arwick for her, although it very well could change.
I had this vision in my mind, of a cat girl and a mutt dog boy meeting in a small forested area, on a hill above a town or a city. A small bit of background on these two first: The two were once lovers, although circumstances pulled the two apart. Roseline, the cat girl, broke up with her boyfriend Calem, thinking that he wasn't giving her everything she wanted. Calem was hurt, having dedicated everything of his life, love, and time to the one who meant more to him than anything else. He placed her on a pedestal in his mind of how important she was to him, and cried very hard when he had no choice but to let her go. She never contacted him again, and left him in silence.
Nearly a year later, and she meets him again on the hill aforementioned. She acted surprised and excited to see him again, although he was less than his happy self when she came around. Numerous attempts to get him to talk only granted her short replies that felt sad and empty. As the night drew on, he opened up to her, telling her everything."The reason I'm not acting like you want me to is because it's what you wanted me to do. It's like, you wanted me to talk to you, every day, at 8:30 at night and so I did. You wanted to talk about our feelings and felt like I wasn't telling you everything. You wanted me to go shopping with you, you wanted me to tell you that you were beautiful... I do all these things and I'm told that I'm not being sincere enough, so I ask what can I do to be more sincere. You said nothing could show that I was being sincere, and got mad at me because I'm not getting the point... Then you continued to think I'm always not interested or not happy and wanting me to smile, but nothing I can say or do is good enough for you. And then you said we're breaking up, I wanted you to stay, and you say it's for the best, and I gave you what you wanted. You then never talked to me after that and we meet up here. And then you're apologising to me for making me act this way? I don't think you know what is really happening. You said that I don't love you, and that I'm the one who doesn't care, and expecting me to be happy and glad to see you? No, I don't think you understand."
Roseline then begins to cry, and holds on to him. Calem just sits and watches her, not really moving or acting on her. She explains she never would think out her actions, or think about how it would make him feel when she would do something... Roseline tries to give him reassurance that she really did care, and that she really wanted him back... Calem is hesitant, because he wanted time to heal. Roseline wants to help him by doing anything he wanted, but Calem tells her she doesn't need to do anything special. Just be herself.
Roseline and Calem (mentioned) are mine.
