You are all gonna love this commission that
SajoPhoe made for me do my adopted fursonnas, Einar and Dainah. Both Dainah and Einar are walking out of the Divine Temple in Valinor with arms locked. They are both making Joyful smiles, for they are now Husband and Wife.
The kingdom of Valinor has many sacred traditions and customs. One of Valinors most sacred customs is its wedding ceremonies. When a boy of Valinor turns 18 years old, they are required by law to pick a bride. The bride can be woman of their choosing, whether it be someone they've never met, someone they've had a crush on or a longtime friend.
When choosing their future wife, she must be 17 years of age. If she is under the proper age, then the marriage is arranged and postponed until she turns 17. Once the bride reaches 17, she and her groom practice the customs of the wedding ceremony. The bride and groom are also required by tradition to wear a formal outfit called a Regalia. The outfit is made differently for both men and women. The family members of the newlyweds are also required to wear the Regalia.
On the day of the wedding, the bride and groom stand outside the Divine Temple. When the doors open, they hold hands and walk into the temple, then walk to the altar. After approaching the altar, the bride and groom stand before the priest and bow. The bride and groom join hands as they stare at the priest, who wraps a ceremonial ribbon around their hands.
The priest then recites of how they gather in the temple to witness the wedding. The priest then has the bride and groom face each-other and recite the vows of marriage. "I swear on this day to the Divines, I will join my hands with yours in matrimony and uphold the vows of Trust, Honor, Honesty and Loyalty. I shall be kind. I will Love and Cherish you, from this day, until the day of my death. I shall remain by your side, through times of joy and peril. On this day, I am yours, and you are mine."
After saying their vows, the priest pronounces the bride and groom as husband and wife. The bride and groom then kiss. The priest then undoes the ribbon and newlyweds leave the temple as husband and wife.
