A lot of people seem to think artists are just another faceless business corporation, like making art is just something they do without thinking or much effort.

Art is NOT something any business can do. ART is something that someone puts real hard work into. ART is something that a person has to be dedicated to. ART is not something that just happens day to day without much different. ART cannot be replicated perfectly. ART is not something you can just blow through like its churned out on a factory line. ART is something that has hard work, passion, and effort put into it, so how about you treat artists with respect and show some god damn gratitude.

Like I said on dA, gratitude takes only a couple seconds.

This hits home for me. on occasion I will get the second one. Though what bothers me the most is when you finish it and tell them, but it takes them a year to acknowledge it.
