She states: "I consider myself Poly and Bi, but since I 'pass' as straight, I don't suffer a lot of hardship because of it. That said, I had a lot of inner conflict for the longest time because of two issues: bi-erasure, and the "bisexuality is trans-phobic" narrative. On the one hand, I was afraid of being not gay enough to go to Pride (I was wrong and had a great time), and at the same time I was afraid that if I couldn't point to a trans individual and say "yes I am sexually attracted to this human", that I was also trans-phobic and therefore not allowed in safe spaces. I felt like a mess, you know?
The big thing the furry community has helped with is reminding me that it's okay to be myself and to let myself enjoy things, regardless of what other people say I should and should not like. As the panel at FAU put it, "Stop worrying and love the Yiff"".
