A smug smile greeted her as she found herself surrounded by four or five yakuza, “I have been waiting for this day for so long. We finally captured the infamous kunoichi lyolf. Stand proud men! We have accomplished the impossible-”
His words were immediately cut off as her sword pierced through his heart, causing him to fall back- his head bouncing against the floor with a sickening thud.
Such a harsh way to die…yet necessary.
His henchmen backed up, yet encircled her to avoid letting her escape- some of them trying to decide whether to attack her or not. Crouched in defense stance, she slowly began wiping their now deceased leader’s blood off her blade, purposely flinging some drops of his blood at the feet of one of his men. She laughed as he jumped back before lunging towards her…
“Baka- never fight with your emotions!” He too fell to his death, as she let his corpse fall on top of his fallen comrade.
What should have been a simple mission: get in, kill, get back out, go grab some dinner with her reward money, and sleep. Turned into something…not so pleasant. Apparently SHE had a bounty on her head as well!
After Whisper had taken out so many of their leaders and beneficiaries, all of the country’s predominate mafia leaders met together and decided that enough was enough. Since none of them individually could stop her, they decided to form a temporary alliance and take her down together.
After months of formulation, a plan was finalized to trap the lyolf and catch her off-guard. Setting up a fake mission, one of the nearby mafia groups planned to ambush and capture her- alive. She was worth more to them alive than dead.
And now…
She did not recognize this yakuza, or any of the members…an underground group perhaps? Nonetheless, that did not matter right now; she had to escape out of this mess alive. But how?! The few remaining members standing before her did not seem phased by the slaughtering of their brethren. They did not even appear phased by her weapon as they made no attempts to grab it away from her. One of them even pulled his blade out and motioned for her to come at him. Interesting…
"Well…it looks like I’m going to have to fight my way out of this mess."

I swear Whisper gets into more trouble than a wanted criminal: damn girl! Well, she is at it again…will she escape or will someone FINALLY capture the elusive lyolf? Stay tuned next time to find out!
It’s no secret bad guys, and some good guys too, aren’t exactly fans of Whisper. Mostly due to her “Kill now, ask questions later” type vengeance she dishes out.
Wow, just…wow. I have been a huge fan of terrygrimm since I found his work years ago, particularly his music themed commissions. So when I finally had the opportunity to commission him for a sketch, I could not resist! And I am NOT disappointed! Whisper looks so badass in his style. Also, I love how he draws folds in clothing; it just adds to the realism and dynamics. Such a wonderful artist to work with and a great turnaround as well!
Thank you so much again! Needless to say, I will definitely be working with him again! If you are not watching him, please do so; he deserves so many more watchers~
