Danathius had been sent to a remote village that had requested aid from the mage's guild. The plucky human was happy to try and help the inhabitants, but the kind of help he had in mind was far different than that of the villagers! They took Danathius in, made sure he was comfortable and well fed before binding him up and offering the poor mage as a sacrifice to Malfaren, the dragon whose whims were law in the surrounding area.
Danathius doesn't seem too keen to wind up as a snack for the great dragon, but all that matters is what Malfaren wants, and he is all too happy to enjoy a free meal from his loyal subjects!
