This song hooked me instantly. I'm quite impressed! Nothing felt like it went on for too long, the song is mastered perfectly, and that intro is absolutely killer. If you make an album with this and/or ever release it as a single, you should submit it to Youtube channels like MrSuicideSheep - they'll eat this right up lol
Before you consider Monstercat, there's a book you should read called "All You Need to Know About the Music Business, " by Donald Passman. It teaches you how to find and assemble a team of managers and lawyers to help you gain momentum safely and (hopefully) cheaply. Thankfully the author is a bit humorous, so it's not too dry. The book deconstructs the music industry even goes into the small nuances of the language that labels and other industry executives might use in their contracts - language that can trap you or take money that's rightfully yours if you're unable to spot it. It also shows other ways you can get paid for your work that doesn't involve selling yourself to a label, like soundtrack composing or making music for commercials. It breaks down royalty payments, licenses, and copyrights too.
Of course, independent labels like Monstercat are better than mainstream record labels, but Monstercat has quickly become more mainstream over the past couple of years, so there will be a lot to watch out for. Perfecting your music is the first step. Finding a lawyer or personal manager is second, though releasing an album and gaining promotion through someone like MrSuicideSheep first is a good idea too. That's probably what I will be doing... I'm still perfecting my music too, though. Anyway, I hope all goes well when you get there, and I hope this helps!
Oh and, here's the link to the book ~ https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1.....&psc=1
