It was a long slog down the I-5 and I was feeling fryed from the many hours of fun at FC. I pulled into a rest stop to refill my coffee and grab a snack. My two Dogbomb heads were riding shotgun and I felt a little melancholy at the thought of returning them to their closet at home.
Luckily, a car load of raucous furs pulled up just I was taking this pic. We all commiserated on how much the I-5 sucks, and how we wish the con wasn't over. They lifted my spirits and I made it home without much more PCD.

It's going to be white soon. I know that color is edgy and all but I don't care what people think. I want to be different!
Wanna check it out? It's not that exciting in it's current state but I am building it as a Euro-spec "GTD" (intercooled TD with the same suspension, interior and disc brakes as the GTI). Hopefully by this summer I will have that all done. I am notorious for going way behind schedule with projects. It does have the intercooler on though, from a Saab. I love that I get 40+ mpg and I can still pass riced-out Hondas on the freeway.

Do you want me to post them here or something? I also have pics of what I want it to look like. I want to have an offroad type bumper built for it and I have pics of that too. If you see me in Newport Beach (I'm there at least once a week) just holler at me and I will stop and show you in person. I live east of where highway 76 T-bones I-5 so if you are ever around that area let me know and I will show you. Cold beer could also be arranged.

You should totally come check out the Deer Park museum. It's an awesome collection and very a laid back place. Maybe some other local gearheadfurs you know (or just plain old gearheads) would like to see it. I actually haven't been in years.
LOL it's ok. Yeah, it will easily do 80. It's not fast off the line (turbo lags) but once it gets going it's really hauls. I'll get around to posting some pics.

The best I could do was hold one of the fursuit heads up to the window
whenever a group of possible furs sped by.
