Sunshine

Somewhere outside by the Canterlot balcony, Rebecca was outside doing some magic training, preparing herself to raise the sun just like her mother. However, Rebecca is having a hard time raising the sun, since her magic wasn't strong enough. But thank to her determination like her father Thomas the writer, she wasn't going to give up yet. While Rebecca continued practicing her magic, her twin sister Mia is sitting nearby, and playing with her pet centipede. Mia was using a tiny ball to play fetch with her pet. At first it look weird, but Mia pet centipede is able to do things that normal bugs can't. When Mia was about to cheer her pet centipede, she overheard her twin sister screaming of something she did wrong. Mia look over and see her sister was sitting on the floor, knowing that she failed at doing something so simple. Mia grab her pet, and walk over to, Rebecca side. Mia ask her sister if she was doing alright, but all she can hear was Rebecca screaming to herself, saying that she was a failure, and couldn't do anything right. Mia hear her sister screamed that she is nowhere near like their mother, and all she wanted to do is be more like her father instead. Rebecca know she can't let her mother down, since she always wanted her to be the next Princess. Mia didn't said a word, but give her twin sister a hug instead. Rebecca always hated when her sister hug her, but Mia hugs are always the key to calm her down from all the stress she feel. Mia tell her sister that no matter what she do, their parents always going to be proud of her. She also mention that their dad will always support her on the choices she make, even if it isn't something their mother want. Rebecca always wanted to believe her sister words, but part of will try and hope that mom would accept her choice. Rebecca clear her eyes and thank her twin sister for cheering her up. Mia tell it was. Nothing, and let her know that she got her back. Rebecca will remember that, but then realized something important she nearly forgot about. Rebecca grab her sister and both of them stand by looking at the night sky. Mia wasn't sure what her sister was up to, but Rebecca tell her to concentrate with her to raise the sun. Mia know that she was an earth pony, but thanks to her father side of dealing magic, she can do the same thing like Rebecca. Part of her wasn't sure she can do much, but she trusted her twin sister and both of them try to raise the sun. They concentrated together, trying to see if they can raise the sun. After a few attempts, the sun started to horizon, bringing some day light. Rebecca and Mia both did, but the same time tired from trying so much. They were relief that work, but hopefully they won't do it again. Rebecca look at her twin sister, and thank her for being more than a sister, but a friend. Mia tell her that she always will be there for her, no matter what. Like how their dad always be there for them.

A few minutes later, Thomas the writer walk by the balcony to see if her twin daughters are doing alright. Once he found them, he see Rebecca and Mia both sleeping together. Thomas figure that they must been busy and tired themselves out. Before he leaves them be, he grab a blanket and place it on them. Thomas place a kiss on there cheeks, and then walk away. Before he could even move an inch, Thomas felt both his daughter's hooves, knowing that they didn't want him to go yet, but yet still sleeping. Thomas sigh to himself knowing that his twin daughters are too much. He stayed by their side for a moment, until he too fell asleep.
