Inktober 2015 Day#BONUS "The Amazing Spider-Cat"

Before Kelvin Hailey was my sona, he was a character https://www.deviantart.com/kzmaster.....iley-428157948 for a coming-of-age story about homophobia in an allegory that was the black community (Keep in mind this was before Moonlight came out in 2016, before Kapernick kneeled, before THAT election, before BLM really revved up, etc.,)
To prepare and play with his character a bit, I put him in the
furry-basketball as a likeable Point Guard who'd get into basketball related rivalries and shenanigans. One of those shenanigans being traveling to different basketball courts across the country to play against the talent there. On Halloween he dressed up as the great one and proceeded to dominate the court.
The character actually ended up being drafted 1st overall, winning the championship that year, and was well received by the community (I mean, really everything worked out perfectly). I had a lot of fun with him and with my time in the league.
I ended up leaving to focus on school and different projects, but it's still fun to look back at the old work.
Eventually I'll be posting artworks relating to the FBA and UFFL and Kelvin Hailey as a project and character.
