Sometimes while listening to music, I will orchestrate the air. Not so much like a conductor of a symphony (though similar), it is more like that scene in Fantasia where Mickey orchestrates the sea with magics. I summon the notes from the air around me.
Hence "Airchestral."
This isn't the final image, but after seeing a similar line art treatment done by another artist on FA, I just had to try my hand at it. I do agree that it's much better than black lines on a blank white background.
I was inspired to do this last night while listening to old .MODs I hadn't heard since the early 90's, which have somehow survived numerous hard drive wipes, new computer migrations, crashes, failures, bad sectors, OS upgrades, and possibly a dunk in a river. They are quite possibly the oldest files I have on my computer - some dating back to 1989 (although that's probably due to someone messing with their clock).
You remember .MODs? They were awesome. Way better than MIDIs.
