Joy of a Winter Morning
The silent winter night was cold and bitter with snowfall. We slept beneath the earth, our bellies full, but our fur and each other was all we had to keep the ice away. Then, at last, the night began to break. We left our dens to find our world transformed, pristine and white and new. Colors of dawn reflected across the mountains as we set our first footprints into the snow. What a joy to be free of the night! What fun, what new games are to be played in this wild place, our home made new again?
