Mathis’ eyes kept darting left and right as he followed Markus’ motions. The little human was twirling around in the air accompanied by a soft buzz that seemed very fitting given his costume. Markus dressed up as a bee. Perhaps not the most accurate depiction but Mathis had to admit the fact that it actually allowed the little fellow to fly was impressive.
His heavy steps made cracks in the thin layer of concrete below. The Chandelure didn’t really pay attention to that though, it wasn’t the first time a micro city failed to accommodate for fellows his size. Again and again his boots would make small craters in the road, sowing panic in the little crowd of micro running around his feet, trying to get away from the stompy boots of the big officer. Normally Mathis would have quickly realized his mistake, but he was just too focused on Markus making silly poses in the air; for some reason the sight of It made him… happy.
“Heh… Been quite a while since I’ve gone trick-or-treating like this with anyone.” Mathis spoke up as his mouth curved upward in a small, serene smile.

darkzeus back when he was doing his Halloween discount and honestly, I couldn’t be happier with it. I’ve always had a soft spot for his character Mathis, I mean just look at his silly hat! And I realized that he never really smiled in any pictures before so… I’m really glad that I got to be the first one to see him just… smile. That precious boy lightened many a dark day in my life. Both back in the day and very recently.
Oh and I should mention that Zeus an amazing, precious person for letting me color this on my own. Thank you so much, man! For the permission, for the art and for your friendship <3
