So I've refined my unnamed Dragon girl ... who now HAS a name, and a character and back-story. I'm definitely putting her in Turncoat (my intended print comic project starring Nemo), and while she may not show up in Book One she's almost certainly destined for a prominent role later on. I'm getting to like her already.
Kesla Maav Dirol Gremm, a "young" Dragon warrior in her prime, and a face from Nemo's past. She fights for the Dark, but like most Dragons raised on this side she's not really one of the bad guys - she's honourable, courageous and compassionate, even though she's also pretty f£$%ing lethal on the battlefield (ALSO typical of your average Dragon). I've presented her here in (pretty much) her full armour (although I'm considering adding a more flattering breastplate when it comes to the finalised design of her combat gear), and NO, she's NOT really wearing a dress, it's more like a kilt really. The male Dragons wear 'em in battle too ... and not much underneath, either ...
Meanwhile I'm pretty pleased with how smoothly this design came together. It's a pretty fair representation of demon armour, kind of timeless looking but mostly functional, and her weaponry's pretty typical of your standard demon warrior (or ANGEL warrior, for that matter), from the heavy-duty Dark Ages style broadsword to the gladius style shortswords. And I'm PROPER TRIPPING 'bout how I'm doing with my digital colours now ...
