I don't think Excalipoor was ever in final fantasy 7 (since excalibur was also not in 7 (in a wieldable form, was in because of knights of the round summon), you are probably thinking either 5 or the remake of 6)... but yes, excalipoor (excalipur?) was a 1 damage sword EXCEPT when THROWN, in which case it does 9999 damage.
Heal is a White Mage power. White Mages are the bane of Undead, being able to kill them with it.
It's a Thing for Final Fantasy, where using heal powers kill Undead, while using black mage spells heal Undead.
So basically, using a Necrospell on an Undead heals them, while using a heal spell, kills them... Again.
