This is a character I came up with back toward the beginning of September, so I'd have a mascot specifically for Halloween. I had drawn doodles of a witchy character before (I posted them on my Instagram last year or so), which I guess would be the basis for what would eventually be Gretta.
Her name came about when I consulted a friend over what to name her, "maybe something that sounds a little witchy, but maybe that's too obvious...", though Gretta was the name that kept coming to my mind. Said friend immediately suggested the name without even knowing that was what I was thinking (we have a good history of that kinda stuff), so the name stuck.
