Hey noodle what did you do today?
Well I woke up at 9:30ish and after brushing my teeth I ate 3 donuts (A glaze, a cinnamon twist, and a chocolate covered one, which was the best). After, I helped move a few boxes but was largely not needed. I did notice we were low on bubble wrap so I volunteered to go out and get more...But I had ulterior motives!
When I left I went to Mount Airy and tried to find a cache...But it was difficult and the tree cover + mountainous terrain made it really tough. On top of that people said the cache was smaller than advertised, so after a while I just sorta gave up on it and headed up to Colerain. While up in the city-main, I stopped in a parking lot and grabbed 3 caches (One at a Wendy's, one behind a fitness center, and one on the opposite side of said fitness center.). At that point I figured I had taken enough time so I headed to Home Depot...But not before exploring the parking lot before it. I found nothing there, but I got the bubble wrap I needed and then headed south to a complex with 4 caches. I thought I'd find those and head to Kroger, but while getting those smilies I found the parking lot was a Walmart so I stopped inside and got the groceries I needed.
From there I headed to Taco Bell, where I got a steak quesadilla meal with a soft taco and a Baja Blast. I headed home and when I got there I saw the others were eating KFC. I put the groceries away and then when they finished I kinda helped them...Sorta...Really I was just there to carry boxes, so I went to my room and waited for them to call to me (since grandma didn't want me seeing her skivies). While there I typed a bit and napped a bit. I did move a few boxes down, and then grandma had me help her wrap up a jewelry cabinet for her...But she wanted me to wait until Leo was there to help me move it, despite it only weighing about 70 pounds.
When Leo arrived I tried to sneak into the room to carry it downstairs but she saw me moving it alone, and I told her it would legit be easier if I did it alone. I carried it out to Chris's car for her, then after I was sure they were winding down and didn't need my help any longer, I headed to Mount Airy for what would surely be a day of epic caching!
Right?
Right?
Wrong.
In addition to the one I had failed earlier that morning, I also failed two letter boxes that were near each other (One had you follow bearings to the final. Gross!), but I did find far too many burs. After those failures I tried heading to another part of the park, but it was closed so I went toward the Arboretum. I tried a multi-cache that had me collecting clues from the surroundings, and though I got a final location that made sense, I couldn't find the container. It hadn't been found in over a year, so maybe it's missing.
I then went on a short walk and managed to find one...Finally! Valley of Logs cache proved to be a success, and easy to boot! I was then going to hike deeper into the park but it said the place was closed due to deer hunting, so I returned toward the arboretum and got 'our wedding cache', which was in a pickle jar! :b
Two caches...Could be worse! I headed back home and got there at around 6:30. I grabbed a shower, then ate 2 KFC chicken breasts and some mashed potates with gravy, as well as a biscuit. Once I finished we watched Jeopardy (First round was really good for me, but second was doop), then I headed upstairs. I did a lot of chatting with frands, and then realized that the document containing all my journal entries had become corrupted. Oh no! D:
But the star must favor me, for the day before I had put everything on FA. All I needed to do was remember the past couple days, and I was golden...And remember them I did! I typed it out and wound up going to bed around 2ish because I was wiki-clicking.
I hope everyone has a Mount Airy searching day! <333
