Here is one example in which Restoration & Remastering may help revive old cartoons. To the left is the original VHS format of the less known cartoon, "Paulie Star," a down of the luck lion who traverses Rock-N-Race City, as you follow his antics and adventures in being a well known car-rockstar.

There are many VHS tapes that have been abused through the years, and they show their faltering image hold. There is static and black&white lines across the video, even when a VCR utilizes its Auto-Tracking.

This is one of many cartoons that will be given a new facelift into the new century, to help preserve the animator's work. So like Paulie Star, one day they will be remembered by all, and cherished for generations to come.
