The rising sun crept over the top of the forest, a single beam of light penetrating the dark, silent room. She knew he was there, despite him not making a sound, and as the light spread across the floor it revealed a black, silken boot. Her eyes glided up his form, slowly revealed in the soft caress of sunlight, revealing a young, dashing wolf, his eyes gleaming, leaning against the far wall with his arms behind his head as he gazed at her. Something about his look told her he'd been able to see her even in the blinding dark.
He gave a soft sigh and pushed off the wall, stepping fully into the sunlight. She gasped and had to look away, his lightly clad form catching the rays of the dawn and scattering them across the room, a diamond refracting light. She held up a hand, straining to look at his brilliance.
