I was actually working at a trading card distribution warehouse when I made this artwork, basically a player card of Coby Carson as his introduction in the league.
The character was off to a good start and was initially well received. Hindsight 20/20 I should of made him a QB or RB, something with a more centralized role that gets more attention, but making him a CB brought its own perks.
Rivalries with the league's WR's was a big plus ;)
The character had one goal and one goal only: be a superstar, win championships, be a legend in the sport. He did end up winning a championship and achieved more infamy than renown on his journey to superstardom.
