She was a slave for many, many years as a child and bears a great number of scars on her back from several beatings. She was rescued from her abusive servitude by a canine fellow that she only knows from a scar across his chest that she found as he held her to him while making their escape and a female companion of his whom she never did see but fleeting blurred glimpses of as the pair fought those who tried to take Kym back. She doesn't know who her benefactors were, where they came from or why they did what they did though she hopes to someday discover the truth. Shortly after being freed and in the loving care of a donkey adminstrator with the adventure school, Kym manifested magical abilities that were likely held dormant during her captivity. Only Kym knows for sure why she didn't use them to escape and she won't talk about it. Not yet at least. This portrait is of her as she first starts attending magic classes at the adventurer school.
Since Kym actually changes the most of any character in this storyline, this is the first portrait of her with the second hopefully to follow soon.

This is more a complete seperate storyline than it is an alternate universe and precedes most everything else I've posted here except for Todd and Danielle themselves, though they looked a lot different back then. They've been "reimagined" since those days but these characters look a lot like they did the last time I drew most of them some years ago. I really haven't worked with them in quite some time so their stories posted in the descriptions have survived from that time without much alteration since.
