I designed a tank that would allow him to rest underwater for relatively infinite time, as he found that enjoyable on several occasions.
The belts on his body contain small steel weights. Their sum of weight is carefully calculated to counter his body's buoyancy and allow him to float in place, preventing him from interfering with the glass. The mask itself has the ability to monitor his basic life signs, for added safety.
Copied from Wolfy:
The tank has in some cases been used to study him, though such studies bring more questions than answers.
Lore: Wolfy often wakes in places he has not traveled to and knows nothing about.

I prefer vertical tanks to horizontal, but I use similar tanks in my stories and projects for healing.
Water, BTW, is toxic after a short period of time (which is one of the reasons that people get sick after spending all day at a water park, in addition to the bacteria and parasites they get from other people). To counter that, a more biologically neutral solution, usually made of HFC (Hydrogenated Flourocarbons) is used both because you can breathe them (HFC is what they have proposed using in liquid breathing suits for deep dive gear), and because they absorb acceleration shock and G-Force trauma (just about any liquid can, actually, which is why acceleration seats are made from a gel and not foam).
