This episode was just horribly written. I feel very sorry for him that his bratty little sister decided to sneak into his bedroom and play with his model airplane and think it can fly like a real one can. But Arthur told her a million times not to touch it, even before he started building it and was working on it. After she threw it out the window, betting that it could fly, but that she lost the bet anyways and blames him for building it "all wrong", she really deserved her comeuppance. I understand if he should have never hit his sister, but he didn't have a choice. And then his confused parents decide to punish him for a week from watching TV (including The Bionic Bunny Show that he loves). WHAT?! They want him to miss what's happening during some arc of his favorite show? How will he know what's happening in the series as long as others (including his friends) don't spoil it for him? NO! D.W. should be grounded FIRST, she broke his model airplane in the first place! She should be given twice the punishment. She should be banned from watching Mary Moo Cow and listening to "Crazy Bus" – both that are baby stuff she wants to deny that they really are.
To make matters worse, that's when he brings it up at school, but his friends want to turn against him and pardon pampered little D.W. for being just a little girl. Not a good excuse, and they even talk behind his back about it. When Binky finally punches Arthur after Molly constantly pressures him to do so, that adds more and more salt to the wound, and did not really teach Arthur a lesson about hitting people.
And then, when both siblings apologize to each other, we can tell D.W.'s was a fake apology and that same "little girl" excuse Arthur's friends brought up at school. I'm also disgusted they would even release this episode onto DVD, with two extra episodes; and then on the back claims that it teaches kids lessons about managing their emotions. NO! They don't! That claim is a big fat, monstrous lie! Why release episodes onto home media if they're one of the most hated? They need to read people's honest reviews before porting them onto home media.
