Finished reference sheet (contracted osmotic gills/bikini) for Orkesstra Korona.
Orkesstra (or Kess for short) is the female lead in the first iteration of the STRAY HELIX™ saga, and plays a major role throughout the entire story.
Her species is 'orkasaur'. As far as she knows she's the last remaining member of her kind - her mother died when she was very young, but before long she found herself in the care of another family who, although of different species, cared for her as their own.
Biologically, she's built to live both on land, and in water - but the most water she's ever seen in one place would only fill a bathtub... so she's never learned to swim - and has an irrational fear of large bodies of water!
The arrangement of horns on her head allows her to generate acute sonic waves capable of causing damage if she can achieve the correct harmonic frequency. Orkesstra isn't very good at doing this at first, but with practice she can produce devastating sonic shockwaves (the power of these shockwaves is magnified in water).
The armoured fins on her forearms allow her to fire organic projectile shells using compressed air - the compressed air is generated by symbiotic bacteria within the fins themselves.
Her height is 222cm, so she stands head and shoulders above the average human male (this includes the male lead character, who is human - to be revealed at a later date). There's a mannequin in the reference sheet for the sake of height comparison.
Orkesstra normally wears more clothes than this but I haven't had a chance to draw her full clothing/armour up yet - I also haven't decided if I'm going to submit the nude version of this yet.

The tissues that make up the pink bit expand/contract as required.
They fill with blood to expand to that size. With the osmotic surface exposed she can breathe underwater.
Outside of water the surfaces can become damaged by drying out in the air, so the osmotic tissues retract/contract back into the protective shell casing - keeping them moist and protected from the air.

Mhh I always have fun when doing trades. I especially love seeing my characters drawn in the style of other artists, it makes them somehow alife for me.^^ I aswell have some stuff to do at the moment, but, if you someday finde time and and in the mood, well, i would be lucky to hear from you, then.
