You'd never think a predatory animal would consider prey a role model, but in the case of Kelvin and Buck, that's exactly what happened.
The story goes that Kelvin was always a baller and had the passion to play since the time he could first pick up a toy basketball. His absolute favorite player was Buck Hopper, loving how flashy and mystifying the rabbit was with his high flying dunks. Inspired greatly, when Kelvin was little he ran at the hoop full speed and tried to dunk just like him, only to fall hard and break his handpaw in 3 different places. Since then he's worn the glove whenever he plays, covering the scars from the surgery.
Around the age of 10 or 11 , from his excellent play in the Jr. leagues, he was invited to participate in one of the FBA Summer Basketball Camps, where he finally met his idol Buck Hopper, guest appearing as one of the camp's coaches (Though he may or may not have been contractually obligated to do that >.> ) It was one of Kelvin's happiest moments, and inspired him to not just be as good as THEE BHop, but surpass him!
